This project featured a rooftop deck on a new construction home in North Center, built to create close to a four-season outdoor space for the clients, who were Chicago transplants. The urban oasis featured an oversized fire table and heaters to bring warmth to crisp fall days and even some mild winter ones.

With plenty of seating and open space, this deck was designed for a family to hang out time. Space was equipped to host chic al fresco dinner parties as well as spontaneous s’mores nights with the kids. Airy perennial grasses not only created additional privacy but also evoked the feeling of a secret garden within the city.
